Bowls/Cups/Bibs

To add to the Ellas kitchen range I thought about other things that 
could fit in to the kitchen idea, I have mocked up some bowls, plates
and cups. They would all be made in plastic and have the patterns
printed on them and be available in different designs.

Baby Cutlery

I have mocked up some cutlery that could be part of the
Ella's Kitchen range for older children as they start to 
eat more solid foods. The handles have the patterns printed and
would be made in plastic to be child friendly.

I started mock up the Ella's Kitchen products, I am 
happy with how they look so far, they text needs to
be added and a few tweaks need to be made but they are 
on the way.

All Patterns

I have done all the patterns for the Ella's Kitchen products, I now

need to mock them up on each of the products and add the text.

Finished Design Context Product

I have packaged my blocks into a box,
I wanted to have a window in the lid so 
the blocks could be seen through it. I also
built little cardboard strips to go down
each side to stop the blocks
from moving around in the box.

 

To fill the window I printed my title onto trace 
paper, so the blocks can be seen through and
make a backdrop for the cover.
This is the final product, the blocks, leaflet
and the box. I am going to letraset my name in
white onto the box and then it is done.

This is the final print out of my
fold out leaflet for my design 
context, it shows all the blocks 
which are numbered to correspond
with a paragraph about each of them.
It is printed on off white stock and 
folds out into A3 double sided.

Design Context Blocks

 

I got my design context printed onto
clear vinyl and applied it to my blocks.
When they are all laid out with a certain side facing
up the blocks spell out design context and my name.
Then each of the blocks represent a designer or design
studio or a print process, with their name, website
and an image.
I am pleased with how it turned out, now I need
to package it and design the fold out leaflet to 
go with the blocks.

I have change two of my greetings card boards, I hadn't included my illustrations

before and decided they were a parto the project I really liked and wanted

to show off.

I changed some of my Wind in the Willows boards, after my tutorial with Fred

I decided I could make my boards a lot more exciting and show off my illustrations

more.

Colour Variations

Ella's Kitchen Typeface

I have hand drawn my typeface for the Ella's Kitchen
brief, its a rounded, lower case typeface, almost like
the hand writing of a primary school teacher.
I have made a regular and bold version for the different
elements of type on the packing.
